About Jen

Hi, I'm Jen Tawil, the Private Eye Doula.

I'm a former private investigator and peace officer with 25 years of experience uncovering the truth. Today I'm a postpartum doula, and I help parents use an investigator's skills to choose safe childcare.

I've watched too many families hire on a gut feeling and a friendly smile. Private Eye Parent gives you the questions, the red flags, and the checks I wish every parent had before they said yes.

Why Private Eye Parent exists

Trust your gut, but back it up with facts.

Most parents never learn what to ask in a childcare interview or how to check what they hear. Nobody teaches it, so families end up relying on a good feeling.

My Trust But Verify method gives you both halves. First you run an interview that shows you who someone really is. Then you verify what they told you, step by step, the way an investigator would.

That's the Private Eye Parent way.
